As a graduating student, we are all newborn child to the
real world. We are wanderers, newbies, amateur to the real
face of the world, the reality.
They say that the real world starts after graduating college.
Where struggle is real and pressure is on!
But before entering the real world, do mind to visit a playground.
Why? Be mindful of these concepts, this may help you in building your career:
1. THE MONKEY BAR
(AIM, STRIVE, SUSTAIN, LET GO)
AIM
Set your Goals, dream big.
STRIVE
Do everything to achieve your goals.
SUSTAIN
Hold on, something big is waiting for you.
LET GO
Learn when to let go of the things that are uncontrollable,
at the same time, know when do you need to.
2. THE SEE-SAW
(BALANCE)
Balance Your Time.
How you managed your time, how you use distribute it,
how you use it along with your other tasks and how you
accomplish your works. Maximize every second, because
in the real world, every second counts.
Balance Your Effort.
What you give is what you receive. Be sure to give the
fair effort needed in every task and work given to you.
You should not give less, as well as much. Just give
the exact amount you think will suffice the
accomplishment of such load.
Balance Your Lifestyle.
Your Cost of Living must be Equal to your Salary. If
one destroys the equilibrium, financial problems
shall start to appear.
3. THE SLIDE
(THRILL)
Be Cautious while making Steps and Decisions
“For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction”
- Newton’s Third Law of Motion
Like judges’ decision in a competition, the results of
the verdict are irrevocable. The Newton’s Third law
simply suggests responsibility to every action, thus
decision making, because in everything that you do,
either it will reflect on your personality or
career reputation.
Be a Thrill Seeker. Try New Things. Experiment. Hype.
It doesn’t mean being cautious, you automatically
destroy the fun in your work. Seek thrill, try new
things, explore and experiment, but be responsible
enough. Measure what you are capable of doing, well
as what you are not. This will help you enjoy, at
the same time explore your abilities.
4. THE SWING
(SOMETIMES YOU GO UP, SOMETIMES YOU GO DOWN)
“Walang Forever”
Everything in this world is temporary, there is no
such thing as permanence. Because life is progressive
and dynamic, expect change. Sometimes you go up,
and sometimes you go down. Sometimes you succeed,
sometimes you fail.
Actually it is not much of a problem, you just got to
be flexible and always you should not expect for something
to avoid frustration and depression.
to avoid frustration and depression.
Be Humble.
Whatever you achieved, it pays to put your feet on the
ground always. The more humble you are, the more the people
will appreciate you and your achievements. Success is a
reward for all your pavements, so do not waste your efforts,
struggles and pavements just because of boastfulness, arrogance,
bad character, and bad reputation.
